Finca El Poste, nestled in the picturesque Nicaraguan mountains at 1300-1730 metres above sea level, offers a coffee with a remarkable story of resilience. Despite facing numerous challenges, the Montenegro family has transformed El Poste into an award-winning farm, consistently ranking in national cup of excellence since 2011, including an impressive 7th place finish in 2017.
Their meticulous care extends from farm to cup, ensuring plant health and hand-picking only the ripest cherries. The careful washed method involves daily pulping, fermenting for 26-32 hours, and thorough washing before a 12-15 day drying process. This dedication to quality ensures that the exceptional flavour shines through in every bean.
