Cerro San Luis is a micromill run by the two brothers Magali and Alexander Delgado. Along with their families, they cultivate coffee in the third generation. They have their own two farms between 1500 masl and 1700 masl, where they grow various varieties like Caturra, Catuaí, Geisha, SL28, and Villa Sarchí. At Finca La Amada and Finca el Venado, traceability is ensured through good separation of the different lots by variety and process. They also produce and develop new plants on their farm, ensuring micro-climate adaptation and improving the performance and quality of their own seedlings. This is done to ensure year-to-year planning, assuring production stability and constant production growth. They perform the harvesting of the cherries in a totally friendly way with nature. On the Pacific slope, these privileged lands have well-defined wet and dry seasons. The fertile volcanic soils of the West Valley produce an excellent cup profile.
This lot is a selection of Kenya SL28, which is a variety originated in Kenya in the 1930s by the Scottish Legion which were experiencing to mix varietal that combines resistance to plagues and exquisite notes.
