Born and raised on my grandparents' coffee estate nestled in the Colombian mountains south of Huila, the ten-hour journey to the nearest town—a mere 25 kilometers away—was an epic odyssey in itself. Narrow tracks, muddy paths, and weary mules laden with sacks of beans defined my childhood.
