This Grade 1 Natural Microlot, a testament to the rich coffee heritage and expert craftsmanship of Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region, is sourced directly from the renowned Idido Gersi washing station. Grown at high altitudes between 1,900 and 2,200 metres above sea level, the coffee cherries are meticulously hand-picked and sorted before undergoing an extended natural fermentation process with added yeast cultures.  

This unique process enhances the coffee’s complexity and contributes to its distinct flavour profile. Following fermentation, the cherries are carefully dried on raised African beds, ensuring a slow and even drying process that preserves the coffee’s delicate nuances. This limited-availability microlot offers a rare taste of Ethiopian coffee artistry, showcasing the exceptional quality and flavour that can only be achieved through a harmonious blend of nature, tradition, and expertise.

Located in the heart of Ethiopia's renowned Yirgacheffe coffee region, the Idido Gersi washing station is home to smallholder farmers who meticulously cultivate their coffee cherries at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,200 metres above sea level. The unique microclimate of the region, with its rich volcanic soil and ideal rainfall, contributes to the exceptional quality of the coffee.

After careful hand-picking and sorting, the cherries undergo an extended natural fermentation process with added yeast cultures, a distinctive method that enhances the coffee’s complexity and unique flavour profile. Following fermentation, the cherries are meticulously dried on raised African beds, ensuring a slow and even drying process that preserves the coffee’s delicate nuances.
